The integrated displays must first have the GoBright app installed before they can be activated.
After the GoBright app has been installed on the display, the device can be activated using the Activation Code shown on the device screen. Entering this code links the display to the GoBright portal and loads the interface according to the device’s configured profile and settings.
Please note, only certified displays are supported.
Since July 2023, the GoBright Android app has been available in two versions: Full and mwvOnly.
-
Full version: The device can be activated in either the Meet Work Visit portal or the View portal. The portal used for activation determines the type of device:
- Activated in the Meet Work Visit portal → the device becomes a Meet Work Visit device.
- Activated in the View portal → the device becomes a View device.
- mwvOnly version: The device can only be activated in the Meet Work Visit portal and will function as a Meet Work Visit device.
This allows the appropriate app version to be selected based on the intended use of the device and the portal in which it needs to be managed.
| App version | Android version | GoBright Solutions | Can be used for |
| Full | Android 8+ | Meet, Work, Visit, View | Room displays Wayfinder displays Visit (kiosk) displays View signage displays |
| mwvOnly (lite) | Android 4+ | Meet, Work, Visit | Room displays Wayfinder displays Visit (kiosk) displays |
Installing the GoBright Android app is generally straightforward. However, some devices require specific installation steps or additional configuration. For this reason, we have created detailed installation guides for the different device types and situations.
In general, the installation process on the display itself is kept as simple as possible. Most settings and configuration are managed centrally through the GoBright platform, making the devices easy to deploy, configure, replace, and manage.
After the GoBright app has been successfully installed, an Activation Code will be displayed on the screen. Use this code to activate and link the device to the appropriate GoBright portal. Once activated, the device will retrieve its configured settings and display the appropriate interface based on its assigned profile and configuration.

General notes
For the most reliable connection, we strongly recommend using a wired network connection (PoE+) whenever possible. A wired connection provides greater stability and reliability, especially for permanently installed displays.
If a Wi-Fi connection must be used, we recommend disabling the following options in the Android Wi-Fi settings:
Avoid poor network connections
Notify whenever a public network is available
Disabling these options can improve the reliability of the connection, for example when maintenance or changes are being made to the Wi-Fi network.
You can find these settings under Android Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced.
To access the Android settings, you may first need to close the GoBright app on the display. For instructions, see Close the GoBright app on a display.
Please note: These options are not available on all Android versions. Depending on the device and Android version, the settings may therefore not be applicable.
How to switch a Meet Work Visit device to a View device or vice versa
To switch a device from Meet Work Visit to View, or vice versa, first check which version of the GoBright Android app is installed on the device.
Full version: Simply deactivate the device. After deactivation, the device will display a new Activation Code. You can then activate the device in the desired GoBright portal, depending on whether it should be used as a Meet Work Visit or View device.
MWV Only version: The device must first be switched to the Full version of the GoBright Android app. To do this, uninstall the current app through the Android Settings menu and then install the Full version. Follow the detailed installation instructions below for the installation procedure.
Once the Full version is installed, the device can be activated in either the Meet Work Visit or View portal.
