In this section, you can configure general display settings, such as volume level, scheduled reboot, and PIN code.
For more information about supported devices, please refer to our Certified Hardware article.
- Volume: The volume level is usually set to 0.
- Scheduled reboot: We recommend scheduling a daily reboot to help keep your device running smoothly.
Lastly, it’s recommended to enable 'Protected Settings' to set up a PIN code for your Visit Display. This is a security step that prevents unauthorized access to device settings, and you'll be prompted to enter the PIN when exiting the GoBright device app to access the device settings on your Visitor Display.
In this section you can define which buttons are visible for your visitors on the Visit Display. It is key to understand how the kiosk functions lead your visitors to the correct sign-in, and sign-out process.
'Sign in' button:
This button allows visitors to sign in at the kiosk. Visitors will be prompted to enter their details and, optionally, select a host.
This button is used by the following visitor types:
- New first-time visitors
- Visitors who do not have an appointment
You can configure the following settings for this button below:
- Not visible
- Visible
- Visible and primary button
'Sign in' mode:
There are three settings that define how visitors can sign in using the kiosk:
- Regular sign-in only: Enables the sign-in form for visitors who do not have a badge with a printed QR code.
- Sign-in with badge QR code only: Allows visitors to sign in only by scanning the QR code sent by email or printed on a badge.
- Regular sign-in and sign-in with badge QR code: Allows visitors to sign in using either the regular sign-in form or the QR code on their printed badge.
'Sign out' button:
This button allows visitors to sign out at the kiosk. Visitors can either search for their name or scan the QR code on their badge to sign out.
Visitors can also be signed out automatically through the configuration settings or manually via the portal.
'Sign out' mode:
Determines whether visitors can sign themselves out by scanning the QR code on their badge or by typing their name.
Note: The QR code sign-out option is available only for QR codes printed on badges. The sign-out mode does not apply to QR codes sent by email, as these can only be used to sign in.
'Been here before' button:
When a visitor signs in using their QR code, their information is temporarily stored in the GoBright portal.
The Been here before button allows returning visitors to sign in quickly by scanning their QR code again. Even if the original meeting invitation has expired, visitors can reuse their QR code to sign in again.
To do so, visitors select Been here before and scan their QR code. Their previously stored information will then appear, allowing them to sign in again without having to re-enter their details.
The length of time this information is retained depends on the Data retention setting in the visitor configuration.
'I have a QR-code' button:
This button allows visitors who have received a QR code, either printed on their badge or via a pre-registration email, to sign in immediately by scanning the QR code using the kiosk.
Note: This functionality requires a camera on the device.
The Opening hours setting determines when the device display turns on and off. For example, the display can be configured to turn off automatically when the building is closed.
This functionality is available on certified hardware.
