This guide explains how to set up Cisco In-Room Signage with GoBright View. Once the integration is complete, your Cisco Room Bar can function as a fully integrated GoBright View signage player.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

• A GoBright View platform with a valid View license
• A Cisco Room Bar, with or without a Cisco Room Navigator touch panel
• A display connected to the HDMI output of the Cisco Room Bar

Integration of Cisco room bar

Follow the steps below to set up and configure the integration.

1. In the GoBright Portal (https://portal.gobright.cloud)

1.1 Go to Admin center > Integrations and click on 'Add'.

1.2 Give the Integration a name (Example: Cisco in room signage).

1.3 In the External system pulldown choose 'Cisco – Digital Signage'

2. Open a second browser session and open your Cisco Control hub at https://admin.webex.com. 

2.1 Go to the 'Account' tab to copy your Cisco Organisation ID.

2.2 Paste the Cisco Organisation ID in the Cisco Organisation ID field in the GoBright Integration page:

2.3 Press the Download manifest button and save the GoBrightCiscoManifest.json file on your PC.

2.4 Go to your Cisco Hub and navigate to the Workspaces tab.

2.5 Press the 'Add integrations' button and choose 'Upload integration'.

2.6 Press 'Choose a file' and upload the GoBrightCiscoManifgest.json you just downloaded.

2.7 After choosing the file press 'Upload'.

2.8 In the next 'Integration uploaded successfully!' screen, you will find the needed Client ID and Client Secret to copy it and paste it into the GoBright Portal Cisco in room signage Integration.  

2.9 Press 'Go to integration' in the Cisco Hub.

2.10 In the next screen in the Cisco Hub, press 'Actions' and choose 'Activate'.

2.11 Press 'Link' in the GoBright Integration Portal page.

2.12 Press 'Activate' in the Cisco Hub. 

2.13 Press 'Done' in the Cisco Hub. 

2.14 Press 'Save' in the GoBright Integration page and refresh the page to see that the Integration is activated.

3. Go to the GoBright View Portal.

3.1 Press the four squares at the right top and choose 'View'.

3.2 Go to 'Devices' and press 'Add'. 

3.3 Give the Cisco in room signage room bar player a name and press 'Save'.

3.4 Press 'Activate' and press the pull-down menu to choose Cisco.

3.5 Open the Cisco device pull-down menu and select the Cisco Roombar you want to use as an in room signage device.

3.6 Press 'Activate'. 

3.7 In 'Scheduling' add a playlist to your Cisco device.

4. Choose GoBright as the digital signage player in your Cisco Hub.

4.1 In the Cisco Hub go to 'Devices' and select the room bar you just activated in the GoBright Portal.

4.2 Click on 'Digital signage'.

4.3 Toggle 'Enable Digital Signage' and select your GoBright Cisco Integration as your Digital Signage service, then press 'Save'.

This was the final step. Your Cisco room bar will now start playing the content you planned in the GoBright View Portal.
