During the initial setup of the GoBright portal, all purchased licenses are associated with specific resources. These resources are subsequently assigned to various locations or devices within the system—such as Map Viewers, Wayfinders, and other display units. This structure ensures effective license management and seamless integration across different functional components.
If you wish to cancel licenses and delete associated resources, the process must be carried out in reverse order of setup. First, detach the resource from any assigned location or device—such as a Map Viewer or Wayfinder. Once the resource is no longer in use, the system will allow you to delete the resource and subsequently release or remove the associated license.
Once a license is released, it can either be reassigned to another newly created resource or formally cancelled by contacting our licensing department.
Log in with an Admin account to access and manage the Settings menu.
In this article, you’ll learn how to remove different types of licenses.
If you try to delete a room and release its license but you get the error message below, firstly you need to remove this room from the display where it is linked in Settings > Devices > Displays.
In case you receive the following error message, you must first unlink the room from the Wayfinder in Settings > Meet > Wayfinders.
If you attempt to delete a room and you receive the error message shown below, you must first unlink the room from the map or the map viewer it is associated with in Settings > Maps > Maps or Map viewers.
Additional note: The same applies when you try to delete the profile of the room, you must first unassign the profile from any rooms it is linked to (error message on the image below). Once unassigned, you can delete the profile by navigating to Settings > Meet > Profiles.
If you try to delete a desk and encounter the error message shown below, you’ll need to first remove the desk from any associated maps or map viewers. To do this, go to Settings > Maps > Maps or Map Viewers and unlink the desk before attempting deletion.
Additional note: Before deleting a desk profile, ensure it is unassigned from all desks it’s currently linked to (error message on the image below). After unassigning, you can proceed to delete the profile by going to Settings > Work > Profiles.
If you want to delete a parking space and receive the error message shown below, first ensure it is removed from any linked maps or map viewers. Navigate to Settings > Maps > Maps or Map Viewers to unlink the parking space before proceeding with deletion.
Additional Note: Before deleting a parking profile (error message as on the image below), make sure it is unassigned from all parking spaces it is linked to. Once unassigned, you can proceed with deletion by navigating to Settings > Park > Profiles.
If you attempt to delete a map that is linked to a map viewer, which in turn is linked to a device, and encounter the error message below, you must first unlink the map from the associated displays and map viewers. Start by going to Settings > Devices > Displays to remove the map viewer from the device, then navigate to Settings > Maps > Map Viewers to unlink the map from the map viewer. After completing these steps, you will be able to delete the map viewer.
If you attempt to delete a map that is linked to a location, you will receive the error message shown below. To resolve this, navigate to Settings > General > Locations, open the relevant location, and remove the associated map. Once the map is unlinked, you will be able to delete it.
If you try to delete a Wayfinder and release its license but you get the error message below, firstly you need to remove this wayfinder from the display where it is linked in Settings > Devices > Displays.
To release a catering service license, navigate to Settings > Meet > Rooms, open the relevant room, and disable the Booking of services available option.
Additional information: if you want to delete a service provider, first remove it from the service routing and permission in Settings > Meet > Service routing & permissions.
To release a visitor license, go to Settings > General > Locations, open the appropriate location, and disable the Visitor kiosk enabled option.
Additional information: If you want to delete a visit configuration that is currently assigned to a device, first navigate to Settings > Devices > Displays, remove the configuration from the relevant device, and then proceed to delete the configuration.
If you want to delete Terms and conditions that are currently assigned to a visitor type, first go to Settings > Visit > Configuration > Types and remove the Terms and conditions from the visitor type.
In case you would like to delete a visitor kiosk profile which is used on a device, first go to Settings > Devices > Displays, remove the visitor kiosk profile from the relevant device, and then proceed to delete it.
To release a Week planner license, go to Settings > General > Locations, open the appropriate location, and disable the option 'Use as working location in week planner'.
