Configuring Meeting types

This feature in the GoBright portal allows users to select meeting types, each represented by a different colour. This enhancement provides a quick visual reference for identifying the type of scheduled meetings.

It also enables users to easily distinguish and filter meetings by type in both My Bookings and All Bookings.

Assigning a meeting type improves the Timeline view by displaying meetings in different colors, and it also optimizes the approval process by making it easier to identify and manage meetings in the Approvals list.

Creating new meeting types

Go to Settings > Meet and choose Meeting Types from the sidebar menu. A list of created meeting types will be displayed on the right-hand side.

You can add new meeting types by clicking the blue Add button in the top-right corner. From there, you can name the meeting type and select a colour using the colour picker. The Preview frame shows how this meeting type will appear in the Timeline view.

Enabling meeting types

To make meeting types available in the selection list when creating a meeting, you need to enable this feature in the room’s profile settings.

Go to Settings > Meet > Profile, open the relevant profile, and select the Enable meeting types option.

If you check the box Make meeting types required, users will be required to select a meeting type when creating a meeting.

In the Select types dropdown menu, you can choose multiple meeting types to link to this profile.

To check how to use the meeting types, check the article Add meeting type to your room booking.
