1.1 Connect the device using a PoE+ cable or power it with an adapter, and connect it to Wi-Fi

1.2 (Optional) Perform a factory reset on the device: Go to Settings > Reset Options > Erase all data (Factory reset)

1.3 Select Settings in the bottom-right corner

1.4 Select Player Settings 

1.5 Scroll down to Android System and enable “Switch to native android mode” 

1.6 Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar 

2. Download the GoBright Device app

2.1 Open the Lightning browser 

2.2 Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit

2.3 Select Android 8 or higher

2.4 Select Download GoBright Device App (xx.xx) and confirm by tapping Download

3. Install the GoBright Device App

3.1 Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar 

3.2 Swipe up and open Explorer

3.3 Select Internal Memory > Download > Select the downloaded file

3.4 In the security prompt, tap Settings and enable Allow from this source and press the Arrow back 

3.5 Select Install and Done (don't select open)

3.6 Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar

3.7 Swipe up and open Settings and select Player Settings

3.8 Scroll down to Android System and disable “Switch to native android mode” 

3.9 Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar 

3.10 Press on the magnifying glass symbol and select GoBright - Device


The GoBright app will automatically launch after 20 seconds

3.11 The app will request the necessary permissions to operate and manage the device. Allow all prompts. 

3.12 Select Continue

3.13 Select GoBright-device

3.14 Switch on the toggle button

3.15 Allow and select twice Arrow back icon in the navigation bar

3.16 Select Continue

3.17 Switch on the toggle button and select Arrow back icon in the navigation bar

3.18 Check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot 

3.19 After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented 

With the activation code you're able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal

Notes

Internet connection

For the highest reliability, we strongly recommend using a wired network connection (PoE+) whenever possible.

If you need to use Wi-Fi, we recommend disabling the following options in the Android Wi-Fi settings:

• Avoid poor network connections
• Notify whenever a public network is available

Disabling these options can improve the reliability of the connection, for example when maintenance or changes are being made to the Wi-Fi network.

You can find these settings under Android Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced.

To access the Android settings, you may first need to close the GoBright app on the display. See Close the GoBright app on a display for instructions.
