Wayfinders provide a clear, real-time overview of rooms, including their availability and current bookings. Think of them as the information displays you’re familiar with at airports, now bringing the same functionality to your office.
Each Wayfinder is created and managed through the portal. During setup, you give the Wayfinder a name and select the rooms you want it to display.
To define how the Wayfinder looks and behaves, you configure a Wayfinder profile under Settings > Devices > Profiles. The profile determines the visual appearance and functionality of the Wayfinder.
Once the Wayfinder and its profile are configured, you create a device. The device represents the physical or digital screen where the Wayfinder will be displayed. During device setup, you simply link the device to the desired Wayfinder and Wayfinder profile.
Once everything is linked, the Wayfinder is ready to use.
Manage Wayfinder
Log in to the GoBright portal using your manager account, then navigate to Settings > Meet.
From the left-hand submenu, select Wayfinders.
The list of available Wayfinders will be displayed on the right-hand side.
Configure a Wayfinder
To add a new Wayfinder, click the blue Add button. When adding or editing a Wayfinder, you can configure the settings specific to that Wayfinder.
General
A Wayfinder has a name, which is used internally in GoBright, for example, when linking the Wayfinder to a device.
The language setting determines the language displayed on the Wayfinder screen. By default, the Wayfinder uses your system’s default language, but you can select a different language if required.
The title and subtitle are displayed at the top of the Wayfinder screen.
Linked rooms
Link the rooms you want to display on the Wayfinder. Once the rooms are linked, you can reorder them to determine the sequence in which they appear on the display.
For each linked room, you can select an arrow icon to indicate its direction relative to the physical location of the Wayfinder display.
For example, if the Boardroom is located to the left when you are standing in front of the Wayfinder, assign a left arrow to the linked Boardroom.
The order of the linked rooms and the selected arrow icons determine how the room information is presented on the Wayfinder display.
Adding a Wayfinder to a Device
Before you can display a Wayfinder on a device, you need to create a Wayfinder display profile and assign it to the device.
Create a Wayfinder display profile
Go to Settings > Devices > Profiles > Add and create a Wayfinder display profile. The profile defines how the Wayfinder is displayed on the screen.
Add the device
To add a device, go to Settings > Devices > Displays > Add.
During the setup, select:
- the Wayfinder display profile you created
- the Wayfinder you want to display
You can then activate the device using either an Activation Code or a Direct Access URL.
With a Direct Access URL, you can display the Wayfinder without using the GoBright device app. However, a Direct Access URL can only be used on one device at a time.
