Non-bookable rooms or desks with hardware

The status of non-bookable rooms or desks can also be displayed on the hardware, allowing users to see the current status directly on the device. This provides a clear and convenient overview of the availability status, even when the room or desk cannot be booked.

The Interact now supports non-bookable rooms or desks, allowing occupancy to be monitored and displayed in real time.

Non-bookable rooms with Interacts

Non-bookable rooms cannot be reserved or booked. However, an Interact with an internal or external occupancy sensor can detect whether the room is in use and display its current status as Available or Occupied.

The occupancy status is also reflected in the Dashboard of the GoBright portal, GoBright mobile app and Map Viewer, allowing users to quickly see whether the room is available or occupied.

When the Interact's internal or external occupancy sensor detects occupancy, the Interact changes to red and displays Occupied. When the room is no longer occupied, it automatically returns to green.

  • Green – the room is available.
  • Red – the room is occupied.

The same status is displayed in the Dashboard and Map Viewer.

Non-bookable desks with Interacts

Non-bookable desks can have different status scenarios presented on the Interact, depending on the hardware connected to the desk.

When the desk is available, the Interact display will show green. If an Interact is connected and the internal or external sensor detects occupancy, the desk will change to orange. This indicates that the desk is occupied but the user has not yet checked in.

The user can check in by scanning the QR code displayed on the Interact or by scanning their NFC card on the Interact. Once the user has checked in, the display will show the user's name and change to red, indicating that the desk is occupied.

If Cleaning mode is enabled in the desk's profile, the desk will also indicate when cleaning is required after the user's session. In this case, the desk will be shown in purple.

The occupancy status is also reflected in the Dashboard of the GoBright portal, GoBright mobile app and Map Viewer, allowing users to quickly see whether the desk is available or occupied.

  • Green – the desk is available.
  • Orange – the sensor has detected occupancy, but the user has not checked in yet.
  • Red – the user has checked in and the desk is occupied.
  • Purple - If cleaning mode is enabled, the Interact will also indicate when cleaning is required after the user's session.

Other desk hardware

Non-bookable desks with Connect or NFC sticker in combination with occupancy sensor

When a Connect or NFC sticker is used together with a sensor linked to the desk, the Connect or the desk in the Map Viewer will display the same status colours:

  • Green – the desk is available.
  • Orange – the sensor has detected occupancy, but the user has not checked in yet.
  • Red – the user has checked in and the desk is occupied.
  • Purple - If cleaning mode is enabled, the Connect will also indicate when cleaning is required after the user's session.

The occupancy status is also reflected in the Dashboard of the GoBright portal, Gobright mobile app and Map Viewer, allowing users to quickly see whether the desk is available or occupied.

Non-Bookable desk with sensor only

A non-bookable desk can also operate without an Interact, Connect, or NFC sticker. In this scenario, the user cannot check in on the desk. If only a sensor is linked to the desk, the status in the GoBright portal will switch directly between green and red:

  • Green – the desk is available.
  • Red – the sensor has detected occupancy and the desk is considered occupied.
